Collection: All Things Cheetah

Cheetahs (*Acinonyx jubatus*) primarily live in sub-Saharan Africa, with small populations in North Africa and parts of Iran. Their habitat includes a variety of environments such as:

  1. Grasslands and Savannas: These open spaces provide the visibility cheetahs need to spot prey and the speed to hunt effectively.
  2. Scrublands: Areas with scattered bushes offer both cover and hunting grounds.
  3. Dry Forests: In some regions, cheetahs are found in arid or semi-arid woodlands.
  4. Deserts: Certain populations, such as those in Iran, adapt to dry and mountainous desert conditions.

The largest populations of cheetahs are found in Namibia, Botswana, South Africa, and parts of East Africa, including Kenya and Tanzania. Due to habitat loss and human activities, their range has significantly reduced, and conservation efforts are focused on protecting these habitats.
