Collection: All Things Red Panda

Red pandas live in the mountainous forests of Himalayas and the mountain ranges of China, Nepal, Bhutan, and India. They primarily reside in temperate forests at altitudes between 2,200 and 4,800 meters (7,200 to 15,700 feet). Red pandas prefer cool, moist environments with plenty of bamboo, which makes up a large part of their diet. These adorable creatures are usually found in dense, forested areas with good cover and an abundance of bamboo, moss, and lichen.

Red pandas are currently listed as Endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), with an estimated population of fewer than 10,000 individuals left in the wild. Their numbers are declining primarily due to habitat loss, poaching, and the fragmentation of their habitat.
